Austin Richardson, 13, of Mobile, Ala., a member of Friendship Missionary Baptist Church, participates in  Cardboard City at Alabama School of Mathematics and Science on Saturday, Oct. 24, 2015, in Mobile. Participants sleep overnight in a cardboard box and dine from a soup line to connect with the struggle of homelessness. This event helps build public awareness of local homelessness and benefits Family Promise of Coastal Alabama and Dumas Wesley Community Center.
